Hokkaido - Soup Curry

A must try when in Hokkaido. Hiri Hiri Restaurants are a chain which does pretty good soup curries, apparently soup curry is unique to Hokkaido. It sure does taste good and suits the cold weather, so next time you're up this way try the coconut chicken soup curry! Bona petite ....

Susukino Sapporo

Took Chisa down to Susukino on her birthday and rode the Ferris wheel. Some great views but pity about weather. You can see the beautiful mountains surrounding Sapporo....

Missing my skiing

It's been busy and I am missing my skiing :(

Did'nt get a chance to go exploring for my vietnamese craving and we have'nt been skiing for 2 weeks.

Instead we went to Tokyo on the weekend for family reasons and also managed to drop into Disney Land, Chisa's favourite place, she kind of expects to go there everytime we're in Tokyo now.

Hopefully should be able to ski this Saturday if Chisa recovers in time from her flu.

Craving For Vietnamese Food

So I have been craving for some Vietnamese food, problem is, there aren't that many Vietnamese restaurants around Sapporo. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever spotted one yet....

Next mission, try and track down and taste test before I report back on my findings. I did read that there is a nice Thai restaurant down by Susukino "Manee Thai" where they do serve Vietnamese food, they are somwhat similar food but also very different in their own way...

That could be my first mission!
