Average Day In Sapporo

Started off as a nice mild sunny day...

Missing the Snow

Suddenly got very cold overnight and raining today. I am missing the snow and can't wait to start skiing again, sorry maybe a bit early to start thinking about snow but it's just around the corner..

So many options in Sapporo, just hop on the bus (30-45min) and so many great places like Teine, Bankei and Kouksai. You can of course head to Niseko which is nice, but since the Aussie invasion have chosen to stay away. Many bad reports from the local people unfortunately...

Below is a shot I took earlier this year at Benkei, a nice small mountain, perfect for my 4yr old.

 

Nakajima Koen - Sapporo Hokkaido

Another great sunny day in Sapporo (25 degrees)

Plenty of things to do around Nakajima Koen (park), only 2 stops by train from Odori station.

A nice river nearby and can rent row boats for 600 yen (40 min) at the park.

 

 

 

Odori Sapporo - Autumn Festival

Yummy seafood availabe during the festival... crab, sea urchin, scallops and oysters are just some..

It has been very hot in Sapporo which is unusual for this time of the year, been experiencing about 27-30 degrees. The hot weather has added a bit of spark for all the outdoor dinning at the festival and everyone is enjoying..
